About the series
Erin Solstice arrives in another world and becomes an innkeeper. Her work brings her into contact with travellers, neighbours and wider conflicts. This is a long, ongoing story about a growing community.
What to expect
An inn provides a meeting place rather than a straight route from one fight to the next. Choose it if you want to spend time with a world and its people. Light stats do not mean a short story or a gentle one: the publisher also describes war and threats to lives.
The audio
Andrea Parsneau reads books 1–15. Erin Bennett takes over in King of Duels, book 16. That book includes a foreword from Parsneau. The two names in the credits are a change of narrator, not a duet.
Try Bennett’s book 16 sample if keeping the same voice matters to you. It is a voice check, not a new starting point, and later-book samples may contain spoilers.
Skip it if
You need an ending soon, a small cast or a lead whose main job is winning fights. The growing list of long recordings is a commitment, even if you enjoy the opening.
